I was eight years old when I first became involved in a presidential election. A full year prior to that, my parents were already working in campaign mode. For me, it was fun because I took part in the campaign. My parents took me everywhere they went; I was basically right alongside of them on the campaign trail. Often times in my political career, I see candidates with their small children in tow, I see myself all over again. I believe that any child who has the opportunity to work closely with their parents are directly affected, and often are ready and willing to delve into politics when the opportunity arises.
